27% of adults brushed their teeth less often during lockdown
Lockdown changed everyone’s lives and has had an impact on our health, daily habits and routines, including brushing our teeth. At Dr Heff’s, we are passionate about oral health, and in Lockdown 1.0 in May 2020 we conducted some research into people’s oral health habits.
What did we learn?
There were a lot of interesting insights, some of which we will unpack over the coming weeks, but a few really stood out. We are taught to brush our teeth every day, twice a day for about 2 minutes to help keep our teeth and mouth healthy. But, during lockdown, some of us slipped up.

Let's get back on track.
If you don’t brush your teeth properly, plaque will build up and this can lead to gum disease and tooth decay. When you brush your teeth, this stops the buildup of plaque right in its tracks. Make sure you use a toothpaste containing fluoride and brush every surface of your teeth.
