How do Dr Heff’s Remarkable Mints actually work?
Dr Heff’s Remarkable Mints have been scientifically tested to reverse tooth decay.
So how do Dr Heff’s Remarkable Mints actually work?
Tooth decay is the most common disease in the world, affecting about 3.5 BILLION people each year around the world (World Health Organisation).
Public Health England (PHE) found (2018) that a child has a tooth removed in hospital every four minutes on average. According to the Oral Health Foundation in the UK 66% of Brits have visible plaque, almost a third of us (31%) have tooth decay and three quarters of us have had a tooth extracted.
31% of Brits having tooth decay is the equivalent of almost 20 MILLION people.
Tooth decay happens when acids erode the tooth’s hard surface layer, and is caused by the things we eat and drink. We might brush our teeth twice a day, but most of us eat at least three times a day, and many of us snack between meals too. It’s the constant damage through the day which wears teeth down. We are also consuming food and drink with higher sugar content than we used to be (including carbohydrates).
But tooth decay is entirely preventable, and reversable.
This is what Dr Heff’s founders Toby and Mike set off to do when launching their ‘remarkable mint’. So what is the science behind ‘the mint’? How do Dr Heff’s ‘Remarkable Mints’ work?
Without getting too ‘science-y’, Dr Heff’s ‘Remarkable Mints’ work in three main ways.
1. It reduces the plaque around your teeth – Dr Heff’s ‘Remarkable Mints’ knocks out some of the harmful bacteria that makes up plaque, allowing the good bacteria in your mouth to maintain a favourable protective biofilm on your teeth and gums.
2. It neutralises the (bad) acids which causes the damage in the first place. These acids are found in a lot of food and drink we all consume through the day.
3. It remineralises (ie repairs) your teeth.
It also freshens your breath, naturally.
Therefore, Dr Heff’s is not really a ‘mint’ at all – it’s an oral supplement. They’re extremely heathy and contain no sugar or calories. They are vegan and vegetarian friendly. They’re also a ‘no brainer’ when it comes to protecting or improving your oral health, as oral health is a window to your overall health.
